James H. Wick
After graduating from Suffolk Law School in 1973, Jim Wick founded Wick & Maddocks and has been specializing in the practice of real estate law and transactions ever since.
He also continues to handle a variety of additional legal matters.
Jeffrey J. Wick
Jeff Wick joined Wick & Maddocks in 2003 and concentrates his law practice in real estate transactions; wills, trusts and estate planning; probate and trust administration; elder law; and general commercial, business and corporate law and transactions.
Prior to joining Wick & Maddocks, Jeff was a venture capital investment professional in New York City. Jeff holds J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Boston University, and a B.A. in English from the University of Vermont.
Jeff also serves as a trustee on the City of Burlington’s Retirement Board, overseeing approximately $155 million in pension funds.
Jeff also founded and coaches the Champlain Elementary School math club, and co-coaches the Edmunds Middle School math club. Jeff taught business law at Champlain College, and previously served as a trustee of the Burlington International Airport, and as chair of the City of Burlington’s Board of Tax Appeals.
Jeff is most proud of his family: wife, Elzy, and their three boys, Alex, Daniel and Sam.
Donald B. Maddocks
Don has practiced law in Vermont for over 20 years. A graduate of the University of Vermont, he served the area as a school teacher, guidance counselor, and coach for 14 years and was admitted to the Vermont bar after completing his clerkship.
He remains active in area sports activities and is married with three children and two grandchildren.
After graduating cum laude from the University of Maine, School of Law, Jason worked as an Associate in the Burlington law firm of Roesler, Whittlesey, Meekins and Amidon, as claims counsel and state counsel for First American Title Insurance Company in Burlington, as the manager and counsel of the South Burlington office of American Land Title Company and as the partner of the Law Offices of Jason R. Tiballi, P.C. His practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate law, business formation, trusts and estate planning and estate administration.
Jason previously taught business law at Champlain College and currently serves on the Board at HOPE Works and the REDDUCS Foundation, a private grant giving organization.
Jason is married with four children.
Lori J. Ruple
After graduating cum laude from Vermont Law School in 1985, Lori worked as a Vermont Trial Court Law Clerk in northwestern Vermont courts and was a partner with Peterson & Ruple in Jericho, Vermont for 25 years. She focuses her practice in real estate law, wills and probate.
She is married and has two children.
